3Com's ATMLink PCI-155 network interface cards break bandwidth bottlenecks by linking PC servers to high-performance asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks, which carry data, voice and video information at 155Mbps.
The ATM cards use 3Com's Resilient Server Link technology, which lets you install up to four ATMLink cards in one server for improved fault tolerance and performance.
You can also allocate more bandwidth to high-priority servers and reduce bandwidth to network segments less frequently used.
The cards support up to 64 emulated LANs and 4,096 virtual connections. They are also compatible with LANE (LAN Emulation) 1.0 and ATM Forum specifications.
