I am a little confused about why so many folks seem to be up in arms about Microsoft's limited connections to NT Workstation (Windows NT, November 1996). They are marketing NT Workstation to be just that-a high-end workstation. If I go to a car dealership and want a new car, is it reasonable to expect that the low-cost model will perform as well as the high-end, better-equipped model? Does it make sense for me to complain that the car manufacturer isn't being fair because I have to pay more for a full-featured car? Not in my book. It's up to me as a consumer to decide if it is of enough value to me to justify the cost. Unless I'm mistaken, that's capitalism at work.
