In WordPerfect 6.1, if you use the spell checker's Replace
window to correct duplicate words, the checker runs through the
document and corrects only those mistakes beginning with an uppercase
letter. For example, if you want to replace "can can"
with "can the," only duplicates beginning with "Can"
are fixed. Novell is aware of the problem and is working on a
solution, but until then you can work around it by turning off
Auto Replace under Speller Options.
We weren't looking for a laugh, but we did take one pratfall
in the April issue. In our review of the HP ScanJet 4Si network
scanner, we mentioned a SCSI port on the scanner. Actually, the

While not yet ubiquitous, coaxial cable is the biggest bandwidth
pipe into the typical modern home. And that hasn't escaped the
attention of Zenith, Microsoft and Cisco, who announced a partnership
to develop high-end Web technology to communicate over cable TV
networks. Microsoft will provide Windows NT, the Internet Information
Server, a proxy/caching server and the Internet Explorer browser;
Cisco will add routers, switches and the Internetwork Operating
System; and Zenith will throw in cable modems. The modems alone
can pump out 40Mb per second of data on a 6MHz cable channel,
allowing communications as much as 1,500 times faster than current
phone line modems.
